Logistics and Warehouse Manager, Hull

Description

With an intense period of modernisation and progression ahead for our client, we are looking to recruit an all-rounder with particular areas of specialisation in logistics, warehouse management and health and safety.  Working closely with the senior management team, you will embrace a number of projects and enhancements to evolve the warehousing and distribution processes including the implementation of a new stock management system.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the internal fleet of vehicles and their movement around the UK
  • Liaising with drivers and planning cost effective routes
  • Monitor driver hours and record accurately to ensure legislation being adhered to
  • Overseeing the maintenance, repair and servicing of all vehicles
  • Completing regular checks and minor repair activities
  • Maintaining service level agreements with agreed service and repair providers
  • Overviewing the warehouse operational management processes
  • Implementing computerised stock system and maintaining stock levels for all products
  • Being the point of contact for all health and safety requirements across the site
  • Conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring all staff are trained to the standards expected

The candidate:

  • Knowledge and experience of logistics ideally backed up by CPC qualification
  • An understanding of warehouse management systems and the implementation of new processes
  • Experience of handling health and safety issues within a warehouse and logistics setting. NEBOSH certificate desirable.
  • Strong management and operational skills.

Full time site based permanent position working Monday to Friday with occasional out of hours requirements depending on the needs of the business.
