Bookkeeper, East Yorkshire

Description

Our client is an established and growing firm of Accountants in East Yorkshire with a number of small branches around the region.  They are looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper who can join the team and provide a bookkeeping service to a number of their clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Visiting clients to ascertain their accounting needs
  • Assisting clients by taking accounts up to trial balance
  • Managing the financial records for a wide range of businesses
  • Reconciling accounts and bank statements
  • Completing financial transactions using Sage and Xero
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date reports of income and expenditure
  • Processing invoices
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies
  • Chasing outstanding payments

The candidate:

Experience of working in an accountancy practice essential.  The ideal candidate will have completed their AAT although consideration is equally given to those qualified by experience. An ability to take accounts up to trial balance required along with a working knowledge of Sage and Xero.  The willingness to train new members of staff into the department as and when required.
